Not-for-Profits
The Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act came into force on October 17, 2011. In order to continue under the new Act, a Certificate of Continuance requires the filing of articles of continuance. This will be similar to the articles of incorporation as of right. Either a Federal or Provincial not-for-profit can be structured. For Federal incorporations there is a $200 filing fee, and for Provincial incorporations there is a $155 filing fee for standard service.
